Before Your Appraisal

Helpful Sorting Tips

Not required, but sorting your collection beforehand can help speed up the evaluation process.

  • Separate your pieces by metal — Gold, Silver, or Platinum. This helps us quickly identify which market pricing applies to each item in your collection.

  • Group coins by face value — Cents, Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, Half Dollars, Dollars, and so on. Keeping denominations together speeds up the evaluation significantly.

  • Sort into US Domestic versus World / Foreign coins. US and world coins are priced against different references, so separating them saves time during appraisal.

  • Keep Graded coins (PCGS, NGC, ANACS slabs) separate from Ungraded raw coins. Slabbed coins carry certified grades that directly affect their market value.
